Lawyers Rd/Albermarle to Uptown

Routes
Any suggections for a safe route from Lawyers Rd/Albermarle Rd to Uptown (College St). I will be leaving around 6:50am - 7:00am each morning and returning somewhere between 4:30pm and 6:00pm. Thanks for the help.

Options parallel to Albemarle Rd.

There are few options for riding parallel to Albemarle Rd. or Independence Blvd. One very experienced rider I know rides in on Albemarle past Eastland Mall to Central Ave. where bike lanes extend to Brier Creek Rd. You can turn left on Brier Creek Rd., right on Commonwealth Ave. to the end, left on Pecan Ave., right on 5th St., left on Torrence, and right on Elizabeth Ave. to Trade St. and uptown.

There is another way I use to go from the end of the Campbell Creek Greenway on Harris Blvd. towards uptown that uses more residential streets. You might be able to use it depending on where you are coming from. From the end of the Greenway, go south on Harris Blvd. a block or two to Laura Dr. and turn right. Right on Wallace Ln., right on Dorn Circle, left on City View Dr., right on Dion Ave. (squeeze through opening in guard rail), right on Slatewood Rd., left on Cedarwild Rd., left on Elm Forest Dr., right on Reddman Rd., left on Amity Pl. all the way to Sharon-Amity where it turns into Pierson Dr., right on Leeds Dr., left on Tarrington Ave., right on Sheffield Dr., right on Woodland Dr., right on Commonwealth Ave. to the end, left on Pecan Ave., right on 5th St., left on Torrence, right on Elizabeth Ave. to Trade St. and uptown.

If you're coming more from Albemarle Rd., you can use Reddman Rd. to cut over to Amity Pl.

Lawyers Rd/ Albermarle to Uptown

I take Albermarle Rd. to Central and turn right at Central Ave. and Kings Blvd. which turn into 7th st. This route can be hairy, sometime I ride on the sidewalk until I get to Sharon Amity Rd. and Central Ave. where the bike lane begins. The bike lane end appx. three blocks past Eastway Drive and then I'm back on the sidewalk. It takes me about forty five minutes to get to Sixth and College. Good Luck!
